Survivor: Redemption Island - Cast Ranking

Ah how quickly this season have went. Well, actually, I am glad that this season is over. It had good moments but the entire finale was just disappointing to say the least. I had pegged the winner since the merge happened and nothing was done to even change that. Congratulations is in order to the winner since he did play a very smooth game but this is a season of mistake after mistake after mistake, it makes me cringe thinking what could have been if only these people thought for themselves.

Now let's look back at each castaway and see where they rank.

***** MORE AFTER THE JUMP! *****

18th. Russell Hantz (Voted Out on Day 8 ; Lost Duel on Day 10)

Russell came into this game with a reputation. A reputation so huge that his tribe threw a challenge just to vote him out. Russell also came into this game with the exact same strategy as before which is, run around camp like a chicken with its head cut off looking for the Hidden Immunity Idol. He never seems to learn doesn't he? His ego is so huge that it cost him the game. Even if Russell does come back again and again and again, he will never win the game of Survivor and the day he does, will be the day that Survivor has lost everything.

17th. Phillip Sheppard (Runner-Up)

There are a lot of good runner-ups, see Colby, Neleh, Twila, Katie, Courtney and Parvati and for them to be at the same line as Phillip is just downright disappointing. The good thing about Phillip is that he has a strategy which is to be the most negative person in the entire tribe and make sure that Rob will take him to the end just because of that idea. And it worked, he made it to the Final Three despite people wanting him out since the very beginning he announced that he's a former federal agent.

Don't get me wrong, his antics were funny the first few episodes but then the Rice Wars episode comes in and everything just went down with his cry of racism and just being outright crazy. But I do believe Phillip has a good side, its just that you have to go through layers of madness to get to it.

16th. Krista Klumpp (Voted Out on Day 13 ; Lost Duel on Day 14)

Krista had a lot of potential pre-show but then she fell into the path of Russell and all was lost from then. Her boot episode just showed how negative she is to her tribe which made her go even before Stephanie who was more of a loudmouth than she is. Krista dug her own grave which is a shame because she looked like she could have done well in this game. Its a shame she aligned with Russell.

15th. Natalie Tenerelli (2nd Runner-Up)

You must have an idea right now just how icky the Final Three are when two of the Final Three are in the bottom of my list. Natalie's a nice girl, really naive and give a few years, she would have done well but she came into this game, 19 years old and that's her major downfall. She clung to Rob like he's the best thing in the entire island and she even owed it up at the Final Tribal Council. Coming into the Final Tribal Council, she could have won some votes if she owed up to her game and not lick Rob's feet all the time. Such a shame because she looks cute as a button.

14th. Kristina Kell (Voted Out on Day 11 ; Lost Duel on Day 12)

Kristina was like the male version of Russell in this game when she relied heavily on the Hidden Immunity Idol to save herself. Add to the fact that her tribe continuously tried to include her, she opted to go search for the idol which was her major downfall. She looked smart but her strategy was just so not good. I hate it when Survivors always opted to use the HII for their gain and do nothing else. Kristina was a bad social gamer. Sure, she may have a strategy but her social game was just absurd that's why she got voted out.

13th. Francesca Hogi (Voted Out on Day 3 ; Lost Duel on Day 6)

Francesca has got to be one of the best first boots just because she was witty, she was funny and she would have been a really good castaway if only she was given the chance. She wasn't in your face like the previous African American women (see NaOnka from last season) but she was articulate enough to say what's on her mind. She has a dry humor like the legendary Courtney Yates and that's what I love about her. Too bad she lost out on a person like Matt. She would have been higher on this list if only she didn't went out first.

12th. Matt Elrod (Voted Out on Day 5 ; Returned to the Game on Day 19 ; Voted Out on Day 21 ; Lost Duel on Day 36)

Matt is really a polarizing character. His religious tone in the entire game was just too much for me to handle but you could just see his strain, his despair while being on Redemption Island for the most days and being blindsided twice, that's got to hurt. If only Matt would have been more of a gamer, we would have seen a better Redemption Island season. Oh well.

11th. David Murphy (Voted Out on Day 24 ; Lost Duel on Day 25)

David was like any other lawyer we have on the show which was very opinionated. But unlike Eliza who's opinions and ideas were very lovable and at times lol-worthy, David was just cringe-worthy the entire time. He has a very big ego as well and when Sarita, of all people, threatened his ego, he went ballistic on her. David was full of himself back when the tribes haven't merged yet and I was kind of excited to see him finally leave but at the same time I kind of want him to stay just so Zapatera could have a fighting chance.

10th. Steve Wright (Voted Out on Day 30 ; Lost Duel on Day 31)

Steve had potential I think as a leader of a powerful alliance but he was like a zombie out there. I'm not kidding. The way he talks, the way he moves, the he thinks, its just so slow that I get bored just by listening to him. The only good thing about Steve is that he stood up hard on Phillip and it was so funny to see how he handled the whole argument. Hats off to Steve for being a really good guy.
