The Amazing Race 18 - Fluffy Hat, Gray Russian, Braid, Man Russian

Hello again my fellow race fanatics. Did you catch the last episode of The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business yet? No? Well, watch it now before reading on. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Last week, we were treated to a Vyxsin meltdown for like a full fifteen minutes if you put it all together. But they somehow managed to survive because surprise, surprise, its a Super Leg! In other words, its a TBC (To Be Continued) episode for us viewers.

Oh so doomed

No, its a Super Leg! Lucky bitches.
So there you have it. Like on the very first leg of this race wherein the Cowboys should have left because of their stupidity, the Goths got saved by once again, their stupidity. The lucky breaks in this race is just phenomenal.

And guess what, they got all bunched up on the train so its one huge race in Kunming, China. Yay bunch-ups. And there's a Double U-Turn somewhere in the leg.

Basically, a U-Turn would force another team to do the other side of the Detour. A Double U-Turn means two teams can use the U-Turn so that means there's potentially two teams that will get U-Turned. And it turns out, two teams did get U-Turned. One in a very cruel fashion courtesy of Kent/Vyxsin wherein they U-Turned Jaime/Cara right in front of their faces and the other is courtesy of U-Turned team Jaime/Cara wherein the U-Turned Flight Time/Big Easy because they're the only team they know that is behind them so in other words, self-preservation.

U-Turn, I hate you with a passion!
Jaime looks very, very pretty in this....uhm, ahem. Anyway, yeah, that's what happened. I didn't like The Goths decision in this because obviously the Globtrotters are a whole lot stronger than Jaime/Cara but whatever, they've proven that they can be stupid, why end it in this leg right?

The only consolation in this U-Turn is that it led to our quote above wherein Cara is trying to memorize something for the Detour.

Hey, it got them one try to do it so hurray for Cara. But it was all for naught when a very difficult Roadblock slowed not only them but almost everybody that Gary/Mallory went for the Express Pass.

Hey, they won on the first leg, they can use it whenever. Personally, I would have saved it for later but its their pass to use, not mine after all. AND you would be expecting they would get 1st Place because they basically jumped over the other eight teams.

Nope. It was Jet/Cord which leads Gary/Mallory as the 2nd Place team. What a waste of an Express Pass if you ask me again.

Not even disappointed
From there, it was pretty much whoever finishes the puzzle first. After Gary/Mallory came Margie/Luke and then Kisha/Jen and then Kent/Vyxsin, who had to wait out their 30-minute penalty for not using the required flight from Japan to China. After them came the very obnoxious Flight Time/Big Easy and then Ron/Christina and finally Zev/Justin.

Which leaves us with Jaime/Cara who got eliminated.

Such a shame. I liked them. They were bitchy and then nice and then bitchy again and they're just a very memorable team on their season and its sad to see them go.

Next week, its India! And a Luke meltdown is imminent. Oh happy days.

I'm kinda hoping that Vyxsin would do this just so we could see her break down yet once again but alas, no.

See you next week racers!
